This past Sunday kicked off my first race of 2010! It was a 5k called
Love the Run You're With. It was originally scheduled for
Sunday, February 14, but was rescheduled to this past Sunday due to snow (Snowmageddon). I ran this race with one of my favorite girls (with me in this picture). How awesome is this picture? (no, not the triple chins) The fact that the photographer did not know that we were running together and he captured this picture of the two of us is really cool to me. Definitely a keeper!
The post race party was held at a sports bar with karaoke! Even though we didn't win the race, we were all winners in our book as we consumed alcoholic beverages after a brisk run before 10 a.m. on a Sunday. It isn't every day that happens!
I officially have a race every other weekend for the months of March and April. It only gets more challenging from here. Wish me luck! Up next:
