Food Network's Diners Drive-Ins & Dives with host Guy Fieri has made a stop in the District! TheHill.com reported Fieri would be stopping by a long time Capitol Hill favorite, but reminded folks to not pull out the big bucks when searching high and low for the secret spot. TheHill.com noted that the show films during off peak hours with only a few customers present, and prides itself on finding authentic "greasy spoons". What politician doesn't like themself a "greasy spoon"?? My face just got oily thinking about it. Anywho, washingtonian.com later unleashed the secret by announcing the 63 year old Tune Inn as the dive bar of choice for Fieri. Take your shoes back off, and put your car keys down because the show was said to have been filmed on Monday. Regardless, Diners Drive-Ins & Dives will be set to my dvr until I see the Capitol Hill greasy spoon for myself!
Did anyone catch Food Wars featuring the Adams Morgan favorite Jumbo Slice? The District is really the up & coming destination for foodies, eh? I couldn't be more in heaven!
