Preakness

Two weekends ago, a few of my friends and I went to Baltimore, MD to attend The Preakness. I have never been a "horse race" kind of girl, but when I heard that Zac Brown Band & OAR were going to be there, it was a done deal. The weather could not have been more perfect, and the vibe was not as fancy schmancy as other horse races. The infield events began at 8am, and you better believe when Momma K (oh! thats me!!!) plans the day, we will be there as early as possible to not miss out!! With snacks packed, and dollar beers in hand by 9, the day was surely going to be a good one!
Like I said, the Preakness is not as dressy as other horse races. In fact, we could not get over the unbelievable outfits people pulled out for the occasion. If you can dream it, we saw it. In fact, our jaws were dropped all day long.

The 2 guys above had some of the more ridiculous outfits with extremely short jean shorts as well as a soccer jersey/board short-bathing suit/ Timberland boots/black socks combo. They suggested we build a pyramid. Sounded like a great idea!

After enjoying some of the morning bands, we found a great spot to catch some of the Pro Beach volleyball tournament.

Another awesome part of the day was the enormous cornhole and beer pong tent that was set up for all to enjoy. This is a "day drinkers" dream!! (Mom, are you still with me? ashamed? Don't be, it was just a good time.)

Then it was time for the real deal. Zac Brown Band finally took the stage and we were, naturally, front row!! Check out how many people packed in to catch the show!

Zac Brown Band

OAR
Right before the race (aka: end of the long, hot day) but we couldn't resist getting a picture with these dapper men!

Right after the race, we snapped this picture! Check out the background!

And thats a wrap. We drove home singing our hearts out with the windows down and we all could not stop saying how it was the perfect day!
