Rewind: January

Since I started my blog in late January, I figure I'll give you a quick re-cap of my favorite parts of the month. January is one of my least favorite months (besides a few good birthdays and the hopes of snow) so I am very thankful that another one has passed me by!

KP and I found our favorite day of the week to hang out. Sunday. We appropriately called these days "Sunday Funday's" which consisted of brunch (or lunch, depending on the restaurant of choice) and hanging out all afternoon (preferably in our sweats). We have created rules to Sunday Funday (which of course we cannot disclose for the privacy of those involved). Loved it!

January 20, 2009. Inauguration Day. Since my firm is so conveniently located on Pennsylvania Avenue (only 2 blocks from the White House), we hosted an extremely large party for our clients to attend to view the presidential parade! Although the hours were long leading up to the event, looking back, I had the time of my life working this memorable party and having a front row seat for the parade...which took forever to pass by my building. (I will post my entire experience with many more photos soon!!!)

I celebrated my "One Year" Anniversary with my firm. The firm had roses sent to the office and my fantastic parents had an adorable arrangement sent to my apartment! Isn't receiving flowers one of the best feelings in the world (even though they die within one week and go from smelling awesome to smelling horrible within this time period) ???? I absolutely loved this day!

It isn't very often we can pull this group together as our schedules pull us in a million directions, but we had a blast at happy hour (s) one night that must be scheduled again! (Jenn is getting married in June, and all the talk is about her parties..and wedding of course. I am ecstatic. Let the festivities begin!!!)

February has treated me kindly so far ... if I can only get through Valentines Day. (Why on earth would they come out with the movie "He's Just Not That Into You" NEAR Valentines Day? It hurts enough that I dont have a date - actually I do but a different kind - , and then you're going to tell me why he doesn't like me? Thanks a lot!)
