Wishing

Why is it that Virginia doesn't get quite the same snowfalls that it used to when I was a kid? The best feeling in the world was when your mom or dad would wake you on a school day only to tell you that school had been cancelled. Any other day, I would be sluggish to get out of bed, but when this news came, I would jump up and look out the window. I couldn't wait to get my snow suit on and go out to play. Lo J was the best at making brownies or other warm treats as well as helping us layer up for the cold!

(college snow days were a whole different story ..... not so innocent to say the least ....)

I don't know if we can blame global warming or what, but I am very disappointed with the amount of snow fall we have received the past few years. All I want is to wake up to the ground covered in snow to the point where everyone is trapped inside! I want to have a good excuse to not go to work one day and to just lay around the house and watch movies (did I really just say "watch movies"? I probably would attempt to watch movies, but would fall asleep midway through just like every other movie I watch...)

So, the snow is falling outside but nothing is accumulating and this is just one big tease!
