Why such a big camera?

Another weekend has passed me by but not without so many fabulous memories. Friday night I had the priviledge of joining my family for a wonderful dinner followed by "sister time" (not to be confused with "Kristen time".. HA!)! My sister and I met up with a few friends (is that an exxageration or understatement? Not too sure...) in Dupont Circle. We had a blast dancing, making new friends, and of course throwing a few back. I can't tell you how much I enjoy "sister time". Every day is better than the last!

On Saturday afternoon I headed down to Richmond to visit one of my high school girlfriends, Kristi, and her husband. They moved to the Richmond area about a year ago, but this was my first trip to see them, their adorable two dogs, and their new house!!! I wish the hours didn't fly by as fast as they did, but we were able to catch up and have a really, really fun night together! I can't begin to explain how much I love and truly miss them. Kristi is the BEST photographer so I allowed her to be in charge of the camera (aside from my persistance to bring her "professional" camera out to dinner, which turned out to be a big hit I'd say?). She sent me some really great (funny) pictures from the night which I will post ASAP. LOVE HER (and her husband, and her two dogs, and her laugh, her smile, her dance moves, her inspiration, her friendship and her dedication to my blog).

Yesterday was a spring-like 70 degrees in the Richmond area which forced me to stay in town a bit longer. I traveled to the south side of Richmond to see a friend from college and I let the day evolve. I went for a run around his neighborhood (stopping off at a playground to play on the swings and monkey bars) followed by grilling out, drinking a few beers, hanging out at the lake that his house is on, napping and some basketball.

On my way home I stopped by my parents house to pick up my suitcase for my trip in 6 days!!! Boy I couldn't have planned a better un-planned weekend!!!!

I have two things to report on: 1. I just heard today that World Market is going out of business. My first instinct is to finally check it out for the first time and hopefully snag a few deals!!! Thank you recession. 2. My sister FINALLY agreed to allow me to visit her while she is in Europe. If all works out, I will be heading "over seas" (oh I dreamed of the day I could say that) for 9 days at the end of May. We are going to talk about which countries would to visit in the coming days!! If she lets me have any say, I am pulling for Prague somewhere in the lineup or possibly an Italy-Greece combo!
