A.BIG.ONE

*I can't believe it. This is my 100th post since starting my blog! For a girl who thought that she didn't have much to say, I guess I proved myself wrong. As corny as this may sound, it sort of feels like a milestone. Last year, I stumbled upon my first blog. It is called Simply Sara. Sara went to my high school, her brother and my sister are good friends, and she is a fantastic creative writer. I never dove into her blog to "stalk" her (I even feel funny writing that because it is so far from the truth), but rather found myself captivated by her passion for life, love towards her husband, and unique spark. I could not stop reading!! Eventually, I found more and more blogs that I enjoyed. Once my life "changed", I felt that starting my own blog would be a great outlet and in a sense, a journal for me. Lo J has always encouraged "journaling" as a form of decompressing, releasing inner emotions, and best of all, to capture the little moments in life that are sometimes taken over by big things! Nearly 7 months later, here I am. 100 posts, a few "followers", several friends who now blog, and an excitement for the little things!
*In the past 7 months, so much has changed, but only for the best! For starters, I have grown very comfortable in my own skin. I enjoy quiet time, time by myself, and I never feel lonely. I have made progress deepening my friendships and relationships with my family. I value new adventures and find myself becoming more open minded. I have let my insecurities slowly vanish and I do not place self-blame on failures, but have become able to turn my failures into blessings. I am confident that I can do anything on my own, and I am so thankful for my faith, religion, and Saviour. For the first time in my life, I am eager to admit that I vividly see God working in my life, pushing me forward, and molding me to the person He wants me to become. I know more about who I am, what I want, and what I need in life than ever before. These days, one of my favorite things that I enjoy working on in my life on a daily basis is to appreciate the moment. Tomorrow is not guaranteed.
*But ... I must confess, I feel bad about all of the things going on in my life that I have not been able to share with you! I have a few days left in Italy to share, my friend Jenn's rehearsal dinner and incredible wedding, and my thoughts on a few random subjects. Even though I returned from Italy over 3 weeks ago, there are still some incredible pictures to share (maybe for my record keeping more than your viewing pleasure, but still...). I also fully intended to have all of the pictures from Jenn's wedding posted before she returned home from her honeymoon (today), but clearly, that has not happened. I need a full day to blog and catch up. Slowly but surely =)
