Things That Make ME Smile

It is 10:45 a.m. on Thursday morning. In the past 12 hours, I can name 12 things that have already made me smile. Wanna know???

1. My sister told me she is coming home ... tomorrow. I miss my sister gaga and I am so happy for her. She has spent the last 3 weeks, alone, figuring out what she wants to do in life. No part of me will ever think she failed at what she set out to do. More than ever, I commend her for taking risks and spreading her wings. She is going to be amazing at whatever she decides is best for her life. I can't wait to continue to watch her grow.
2. I got 12 hours of sleep last night. Jealous? It feels good. Maybe too good. Maybe so good that I could go back to sleep. I hope it doesn't back fire. For now, I just smile.
3. It is sunny outside. Enough said.
4. There were major metro delays this morning. On a morning when I was not running ahead of schedule (you would've thought after 12 hours of sleep that I would have been on the ball), I entered the metro station only to find out it would probably take me 30 minutes to even get on a train. A friend of mine and I split a cab. We got incredible views of the Iwa Jima memorial, the Washington memorial, the White House on a crisp winter morning, and much more.
5. Due to this cab ride, I was able to listen to talk radio in the morning. I miss it, but this morning, it made me smile!
6. I got a morning text from a friend who makes me smile. He told me about a new song he found. I listened to it when I got to work, and it also made me smile.
7. My boss just told me she is providing lunch today. Always nice!
8. I just received a text from one of my best friends that said "I miss you today". Cherish your friends!!!
9. I received a text from another friend this morning that said "you're pretty". Seriously? My friends are so good to me.
10. I received a very, very sweet note from my aunt this morning. My family is THE BEST!
11. This morning I heard today/tonight's forecast. They said my favorite word ... snow. Although it wont be much, I love to hear that word in the forecast.
12. Last but not least ... the Caps play the Penguins tonight. Aka: Ovechkin vs. Crosby. dun, dun, dun. Can't wait!! I'll be rockin my red tonight, for sure.
