Oh Hey!

I'm still here! I was doing so good on my daily posts but this week just caught up with me. I worked entirely too much, was taken on an emotional rollercoaster and didn't get enough sleep. All I can think about is being on the beach in two weeks. My head is currently in the clouds with my eye on the prize. I'll be back to my frequent posts shortly. Hang tight!

But first, here are a couple "off the cuff" musings:

1. I am so incredibly fortunate to have amazing friends. The value of a friendship has become clear in the past few years, and I feel as though I am in my prime. My friends are amazing. Last night, we laughed so hard our stomachs hurt and we couldn't stand up straight. So good!

2. Why do people feel the need for completely inappropriate make out sessions in public places?

3. Chopsticks. The topic has been on my mind lately. They are so hard to use. Long ago a fork was invented that takes the difficulty right off of everyone's hands, literally. Why are we still using chopsticks? I catch myself staring when someone is twirling noodles or scooping rice with their chopsticks. Maybe I am just jealous because I look like I am no more than 4 years old eating with chopsticks. I end up just eating with my fingers if forks aren't an option. Whooops!

4. I signed up for an 8 week small group with my church!! A few "ladies" (it still seems so weird to put myself in that category.. ugh!) from my church will meet once a week for a Bible study! I am so excited to finally get involved in a small group so say an extra prayer that it works out!

5. I hate shopping. Did you know that? I really don't like it. Well, I love grocery shopping, but I really don't like shopping for clothes, shoes, purses, make up. Oh, I really don't like shopping for make up. But lately, it has been all I have wanted to do. Maybe it is because I know I don't have any money so that makes me want more? I don't know, but it is not fair. I wish money was no thang.

6. My lil sis starts her first day of work at her new job on Monday. I couldn't be more proud!

7. Say an extra prayer for my grandma. She is really sick. Fortunately, she has lived for 93 blessed years and we are just lucky for every borrowed day we have with her.

8. Reality tv is getting so good. I am so happy Tenley did not win Bachelor Pad (did I just confess to watching that show?). Haydon deserved to win Big Brother but thank goodness Britney won fan favorite. Do you think Rachel was shocked when she didn't win? I still haven't watched the season finale of Top Chef. Don't tell! Survivor just started. Amazing Race is starting up again. I'm a sucker for Oprah's final season (when she makes dreams come true, I always cry ... don't judge). And above and beyond, football is BACK. I'm a tv addict. Thank goodness for tivo!

9. I haven't been running lately. whoops!

10. Fun upcoming events: Dock party tonight! A new class starting at my church, monthly girl's dinner, my high school bestie coming into town, Sugarland concert, small group starting and South Beach!! Tons to blog about .... stay tuned!
