Spending the 3 day weekend with family and family friends led to tons of smiles, doubled over belly laughs and relaxation. Dance parties. They happened often, out of nowhere, and I loved every second of them. No alarm clocks or have-to's. We enjoyed incredible meals at some of Old Town Alexandria's best restaurants, went for a gorgeous run along the river (so proud Mom!!), enjoyed the Saturday morning Farmers Market (last year's Farmers Market recap), read magazines lounging in the sun, and managed to squeeze in a little shopping! For the first time in ages, we made it to Sunday brunch. We enjoyed fireworks and wine on perfect summer nights, and we walked the motorcycle filled streets laughing til our faces hurt. Memorial Day Weekend 2011 gave us memories (and nicknames) that will go down in the books. I'll take another weekend like this in a heart beat!
