How Adorable

In front of each place setting at our tasting sat this. How cute! I know, you're thinking it is just a single tulip in a boring pot. I thought the same thing (except I was excited to put it on my desk for the next few days to remind me that spring has sprung and the beach is right around the corner), until the chef announced that dessert had been served. We all looked at each other, and then someone took a bite of "the dirt". WOW!! This was our dessert and the pot was filled with angel food cake, key lime custard, fresh raspberries and strawberries, topped with shaved chocolate. This dessert followed a 100% organic meal consisting of salmon topped with bacon and asparagus puree, steamed asparagus, a goat cheese quiche with fresh tomato on top and corn pudding (my descriptions are not nearly as delicious as the menu described, but you get the jist). HELLO HEAVEN.

PS! I gathered several empty pots, washed them out and will most definitely paint them fun colors and plant my own herbs in them! (the ladies in the office told me "you don't strike me as that kind of person". oh man I have them fooled). how exciting.

PPS! My boss couldn't make the tasting so this picture was taken with the dessert sitting on her desk awaiting her return. (I am such a great assistant, you know it's true.)
