August Weekend Round-Up: Part 1

Well August has come and gone (Can you believe it?) and I feel terrible holding back so many fun memories and pictures! Each weekend throughout the month was "booked up" (yep, you can thank my secretary for that one) so lets start from the beginning.

Joe Gibbs Book Signing Event - Joe Gibbs came to my church to introduce his new book "Game Plan for Life". It was a really neat event, and I was even able to invite my friends to visit my church!! I have not had a chance to read the book yet, but from what I hear, its a really good, quick read!! All of us could use a "Game Plan for Life"!

Just a week after E returned home, her best friend Zoid threw her a Welcome Home Party. It was held at Zoid's moms house which is absolutely incredible. There is a gorgeous pool with a cabana (and flat screen tv & fireplace), a fire pit, 4 wheelers, a pond, an outside and inside bar, a pool table, a kegerator (HELLO-O) and so much more!! The night was filled with great friends and family and ended with our own fireworks show!! We really had the time of our life, and I think E realized that the good ol US of A is really where her heart is.

The next day was spent at a Red Sox / Orioles game for a littl relaxation! (Thank goodness the Red Sox won because I was a bit out numbered ... haha)

Before I knew it, football season was here. As I mentioned before, I headed up to Baltimore for the first preseason game of the season, the Redskins vs Ravens. The Redskins didn't put on their best performance, but it was still a ton of fun!! Plus, I love how many Redskin fans are in Baltimore. Lets just say, it is going to make for a very fun regular season.

The day after the Redskins game, I had to pull myself together because it was the day we had been anticipating in our office for some time. I was throwing my boss a baby shower!!! I didn't get a group shot, but I was able to snap a few pictures before the guests arrived! I threw a pink & green themed shower centered around sweets. Candy, cupcakes & icecream cake. It was definitely a sugary afternoon!

The baby food tasting game!!

And we're only half way through the month ... more to come!
